The library enriches scholarship and teaching by providing information resources, services, and instruction that support the curriculum and the intellectual development of St. Thomas students, faculty, and staff.
In support of this mission:
- We teach our users the skills necessary to identify, select,
evaluate, and retrieve information
- We provide leadership in the use of information
technologies
in
teaching
and
learning
at
the University
- We
select,
acquire, and provide access
to information resources in a variety of formats
- We organize information resources so that they may be
easily located by our users
- We circulate and preserve information resources located
within the libraries
- We collaborate with others, both on campus and in the library
and information professions, to design quality information services and to promote information
literacy as an essential lifelong learning skill.
