The purpose of the Circulation Department is to enable
patrons to locate and borrow library materials. To this end, the Department is responsible
for maintaining the patron database, checking books out to patrons, checking in returned
books, maintaining the circulating stacks, and serving as the first stop for patrons
needing help with library holdings and services.
