Research Defined:
Broadly defined, research
which includes qualitative, or non-numeric data. Examples
include ethnographies, case studies, life histories, and
narrative inquiries. Inquiry as a matter of perception of

Quantitative Research Defined:
Relies on systematic,
empirical observation, followed by the application of
