An in-depth dictionary covering the American prison
systems. Articles are more lengthy than a normal
dictionary reference, and they include a few references at the
end of each article.

Volume 1 includes historical, conceptual and theoretical
issues, Volume 2 covers crime and juvenile delinquency, Volume
3 review sexual deviance, and Volume 4 covers self-destructive
behavior and disvalued identity. Use the excellent
author and subject indexes found in Volume 4 to find the
specific information that you need. This is an excellent
encyclopedia and each article includes an extensive
bibliography.

In-depth articles on policing in the United States.
Articles are written by experts and scholars in the field and
